felt the perfect gravity of chunky thighs and round belly that is month view full post » la vita floreale: beach florals with inessa roberts designs view full post » becca + emil: in love in the french quarter posted in: uncategorized facebook share | tweet post | email post | work with me | no comments comment eric + genevieve: celebrated proper on chicago’s north side posted in: chicago | wedding in the beginning, we were talking about santa barbara. a small ceremony and a party under the stars. palm trees and maybe a session on the beach. and midway through the planning, life happened. suddenly the thing genevieve’s family most wanted was a celebration in their hometown of chicago—something genevieve’s grandmother could attend, too. so the plan changed and we all crossed our fingers that the weather on the date the couple had chosen in order to share with genevieve’s grandparents wedding decades before, would be beautiful. chicago bloomed just in time and the weekend’s weather was absolutely gorgeous—great for photographs, great for a little walk pre-ceremony, and great for the rabble-rousing gen/eric had planned for the reception later. genevieve’s father officiated and his poetic message about love was so moving and personal and perfect, i found myself recording the audio. really. the celebration continued at the couple’s favorite neighborhood restaurant—letizia’s fiore in chicago’s logan square. the food was incredible, as always, and between the toasts and the friends and the superfly dance moves and the cigar bar and more edibles, it was the very best way to continue the great idea that is eric + genevieve. facebook share | tweet post | email post | work with me | no comments comment santa barbara’s old world charm: angela + brian’s el presidio wedding posted in: wedding hospitality as lush as the surrounding hills that spain once claimed. vibrant florals and sun-baked adobe. santa barbara’s old-world charm provided the elegant backdrop for angela and brian’s el presidio wedding. the event had loved ones progressing through the archways and elegant architecture of two of santa barbara’s most iconic grounds and finally to the terraced grounds of the groom’s parents. angela + brian began the day at the city’s courthouse, where they had a hushed moment pre-ceremony— a quick connection that the rest of the day rarely provides. we had the good fortune of gaining access to the famous mural room just moments after it re-opened in the wake of six months of facade restoration. from the courthouse, we walked a few blocks to el presidio, where the couple’s traditional catholic ceremony—and the traditional canon-fire salute was performed by a local minister and historical reenactment (and ballistics!) specialists. studded with gorgeous peonies, meticulously restored, centuries-old paintings, and the natural light, the ceremony offered the guests who had flown in. a gorgeous backyard reception, with city views and local fare, capped the celebration and gave attendees the best excuse to linger, dance, and enjoy the region’s famous wines until a surprise, late-night in-n-out delivery arrived. facebook share | tweet post | email post | work with me | no comments comment wedding in wine country: annie + nate’s solage celebration in calistoga, ca posted in: wedding facebook share | tweet post | email post | work with me | no comments comment babylove in the lbc: domestic portraits with axel posted in: babies | long beach when was the last time you held a baby?
